All life and love flowed from out of your hands onto my palate. I could taste it.
You constructed light and minds; they were pictures of you. They danced on blue fields at sunset.
If all light completely sinks, it will rise up again.

They try to tell me I’ve been cupped in a giant hand all my life – that I’m sitting in a palm filled with water. But I’m certain that this ocean I’m treading in has no bottom. They’re trying to keep me in.
I can just stop treading sometimes and rest upon the buoyant whales that surface. I have named them Reason, Good, and Life.
I didn’t recognize them as drifting cells, full of keratin.
I remember seeing a Man the colour of the whales... and hating Him. He came to whom He made but was not received.
I cursed my hate in private and wished my thoughts would be unknotted and woven right.

I’ve been umbilical to you forever.
I wanted the life I sensed in you, so I sucked your blood. I bit the cord that once connected us and tried to be filled, but now I’m feeding off myself and I can’t plug back in. Nothing is reversible.
You started to say such strange things like, “I came to pay for all the things you take. Your lives are draining because you broke the thing that can’t be replaced.”
It can’t be replaced. But you’ll make something new.
Oh thank you.

The foundation of our dying world promises me that death will reblossom. But I can’t figure out why you wait.
You waited two more days to make sure I was sure that there was no pulse in this earth.
But then you came and our brother bloomed!
You put the yellow leaves back on his tree…. So I ask: Will I die, if you can animate the dead with thought?

You won’t teach us what we teach ourselves (the importance of men) so your words won’t find anyplace here where they can rest.
The more you speak, the more you act, we know you don’t fit, you’re foreign. What is this? Let us kill the thing! We’re the world’s antibodies. Kill the pig, cut his throat, spill his blood!

The day is silent, but my head is throbbing as I look at the aftermath. I panic because I can’t go back. Oh, I can’t breathe because I’m drinking my guilt. The sun’s shadows do disgusting things to your body.
No one can take you down and animate you. I look up at you. You’ve been drained of movement. It can’t be replaced.
